CoMotion is a collaborative dance company, based in Carbondale, CO and supported by Dance Initiative. CoMotion develops content-driven and place-based modern dance while exploring creative boundaries. Founded in 2013 by community dancers, CoMotion believes in the transformative power of movement to create narratives drawn from contemporary questions.
Vision
CoMotion is a community-focused dance company that welcomes collaborators and dance artists. Members of CoMotion are dedicated and enthusiastic dance artists that attend dance classes regularly, perform in CoMotion productions and support the company's mission through choreography, performance and company promotion.
